Before launching the NucleusCare Shopify store, our products were exclusively sold on a B2B basis. The CPO sought an easy-to-manage platform to sell devices with subscriptions, minimizing ongoing development efforts. After conducting market research, I recommended Shopify for its intuitive interface, extensive app marketplace, and ability to meet the needs of our target users. This solution provided a user-friendly, accessible, and SEO-optimized eCommerce platform to expand our reach and integrate seamlessly with social media channels.
With approval from the CPO, I was tasked with creating a prototype within two days. In that short timeframe, I developed a fully functional Shopify site with third-party integrations to support our subscription-based product. The prototype impressed the team, prompting further investment. Since its launch, we've implemented multiple integrations using Shopify's webhooks and APIs, connecting the store to our custom systems and 3PL for streamlined operations.
SquarePagesFigma + Mongo, Node, TypeScript, SCSS
SquarePages is a personal project my partner and I built to provide a free, user-friendly platform where readers can explore over 50,000 public domain eBooks. Users can create free accounts to find, save, read, and share books, as well as organise their favourites into custom "bookshelves." Drawing from Project Gutenberg's extensive library, the goal was to design a seamless experience where users can search for specific titles, discover new reads, download eBooks in various formats (or send them directly to their Kindle), or enjoy them through our built-in eBook reader.
While my partner served as the software engineer and technical architect, I led efforts in branding, market research, UI/UX design, web accessibility, and QA. I also developed a Kanban board to organise ideas and track progress, along with a defect tracker to log and resolve issues found during user acceptance testing, ensuring a polished final product. As a Product Manager, working on SquarePages allowed me to combine my love for web design with my commitment to creating accessible and user-centered digital experiences.
Overnight AppFigma + Node, React, TypeScript, WebRTC
The Overnight Coverage App is a NucleusCare product developed exclusively for a leading healthcare provider in the US. Designed to address the critical need for fast and reliable communication during overnight emergencies, the app connects nurses with doctors when most physicians are unavailable.
Built specifically for NucleusCare devices, it integrates seamlessly with our system to fetch real-time lists of nurses, doctors, and patients from each facility. Leveraging WebRTC technology, the app establishes instant video connections, providing patient details and call context upfront. Nurses can request calls with ease, while doctors manage and respond to requests through a browser-accessible queue system.
As the Product Manager, I transformed the client’s initial idea into a detailed list of technical requirements and planned the work to meet a tight one-month deadline. I collaborated with Design to create a simple, user-friendly interface that met all client needs and coordinated efforts across developers and QA to deliver a polished product. The app launched on time and within budget, exceeding expectations. Its adaptability has been a key success factor, allowing our sales team to offer it to new clients with minimal customisation, creating a scalable win-win solution.
